The Prairie View A&M Panther football team added its 16th recruit as Copperas Cove High School standout Rashaun Gibson inked with the team.
A Second Team All-Central Texas and District 8-5A First Team honoree at wide receiver, Gibson was one of the most exciting players to watch in Central Texas this past fall after catching 42 receptions for 729 yards with 10 touchdowns. He was named KDHpressbox.com Player of the Week this past fall after catching six receptions for 126 yards and three touchdowns along with rushing for two touchdowns against Killeen on Sept. 28. The 6-0, 180-pound Gibson is also a standout kick returner as he averaged over 35 yards per kickoff while leading the Bulldawgs to a playoff berth. A three-sport standout at Copperas Coce, Gibson also plays basketball and runs track.
