Coming off back-to-back SWAC Bowling Championships, Prairie View A&M head bowling coach
Glenn White has reloaded as he signed five standout student-athletes during the spring signing period. White has a decorated class as all five bowlers were amongst the best in their respective states with extensive experience competing on the local and national levels. In addition to each recruit's accolades, White also addressed his team's depth issue as this group allows him to use a variety of lineups.
“This recruiting season has exceeded my expectations by far,” said White. “To add these five skilled individuals to the group that signed during the fall along with the returning members will take this program up another level or two. Not only do I expect us to be more skilled but we'll be highly skilled with depth that we've never had on our roster.
“Being able to add the Texas High School State Singles Champion in Lynsie Rodriguez and also one of the top-level finishers in the country in the Junior Gold Championships in Sydney Barren (224 High League Average on Sport Shot) is a great boost to this program,” added White. “When you include the skills of Alexis Borman, Brittany Kinney and Shelby Hart and their great accomplishments, I am extremely excited about the upcoming season and being able to work with such an expansive, talented group of young ladies. It will really help in minimizing nagging injuries that we have been having in recent years as we'll be able to rest players more and still maintain a high level of competition. The best thing of all is that they're all great students academically and should also excel in the classroom.”
