Prairie View A&M claimed first place at the annual Prairie View A&M Cross Country Invite Thursday evening.
TSU's Isaac Romero won the individual title in a time of 26:09.87 while PVAMU swept the next three spots. Â Freshman
Jarrod Ballou claimed second with a run of 26:19.96 followed by
Aaron Austin (26:32.55) and
Sorone Batiste (26:36.40) in third and fourth place.
TSU's Jose Medina placed fifth while PVAMU's
Darwin Allen and
Terence Mitchell finished sixth and eighth, respectively to round out the top 10 runners.
PVAMU claimed the overall title by a nine-point margin (23-32).
The regular season comes to a close on Monday, Oct. 27 in Clinton, Miss. as the Panthers will participate in the 2014 SWAC Cross Country Championship.
