BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Prairie View A&M men's track team continued its strong showing last weekend as they traveled to Birmingham, Ala. to participate in the Samford Multi & Invitational at the Birmingham Crossplex. The duo of Preston Woodard and Michael Prejean both had strong showings with first-place finishes.
Woodard captured the triple jump crown as the senior jumped a season-best mark of 51-1.75 while Prejean continued his historic indoor season with a winning time of 8.04 in the 60-meter hurdles. Sophomore Keon Campbell set a personal-best mark of 6.98 in the 60-meter dash en route to a fifth-place finish while Sorone Batiste placed third in the 800 as he ran a season-low of 1:52.82.
The Panthers return to action this weekend in the Houston Tune Up at the University of Houston on Friday, Feb. 14.
