The Prairie View A&M volleyball team will play host to rival Texas Southern in a pivotal Southwestern Athletic Conference match up at 7 p.m. Tuesday night in the William Nicks Building.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness, and the game will be streamed live via Panthervision, which can be found on www.pvpanthers.com.
If the previous three games this season hold any indication to what Tuesday night's Breast Cancer Awareness match holds in store, Prairie View A&M (8-18, 4-1 SWAC) and Texas Southern (9-11, 3-1 SWAC) should go down to the wire. Each match has been settled with a 3-2 decision and by three points or less.
TSU has won the last two contests, but it has yet to play the Lady Panthers on their home court in the William Nicks Building.
The Lady Panthers will turn to their offensive staples in an attempt to break the two-game losing streak against their rivals. Junior setter Kelsey Espinosa, who has won five of the six SWAC Newcomer of the Week Awards this season, looks to set up senior outside hitters Breanna McNeil and Bruna Menezes. Both seniors each compiled 44 kills in their three matches last week in which they went 2-1 in SWAC games.
Fans are also encoraged to show up early and claim their seats as the homecoming comedy show will take place immediately after the contest.
