The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team hits the hardwood on Saturday with a critical matchup versus Jackson State beginning at 3 p.m. in the Baby Dome. Saturday's game is also designated as high school day as area high school students will be admitted for a special price of $5.
The Lady Panthers snapped a two-game slide last week with a hard-fought win over Texas Southern on Saturday. They look to avenge last month's loss to Jackson State which came down to the wire as a win on Saturday could possibly soar the Lady Panthers to as high as third place in the SWAC standings. At home, the Lady Panthers have a three-game winning streak over JSU dating back to 2009.
Junior guard Kiara Etienne leads the Lady Panthers as she's the SWAC's second-leading scorer with 14.7 points per game while junior Latia Williams follows with 11.9 points and 8.5 rebounds.
All of Prairie View A&M's SWAC contests will be broadcasted live on KPVU 91.3 FM with Leonard Moon calling the action. The station can be heard via the airwaves or Internet at www.pvamu.edu/kpvu. Smartphone and tablet users can also hear the game live by downloading the Tune-In application for their respective devices and selecting KPVU 91.3 FM
The games will also be video streamed live through the PVPanthers.com website.
