Lady Panthers Open Up SWAC Tourney Versus Alabama State

GARLAND, Texas – The No. 5 seed Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers open up the SWAC Tournament's evening session with a match-up versus fourth-seeded Alabama State at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Garland Special Events Center.

Both teams split their contests against each other this year as each team won on their home courts. Thursday's meeting marks the first postseason showdown between both teams since 2010 and promises to be a barnburner as the Lady Panthers overcame a five-point halftime deficit in their last meeting to ASU en route to a 14-point victory. Also in that game, junior Latia Williams had a career-game with 28 points and seven rebounds.
