Panthers Drop Two Against Dallas Baptist

The Prairie View A&M baseball team was shut out in both games of its double-header in Friday night against Dallas Baptist Friday afternoon in Dallas.

The Panthers dropped Game 1 by a score of 11-0 and lost Game 2 in similar fashion 7-0. Prairie View A&M didn't get the same offensive production it put forth on Tuesday against Houston Baptist when it tallied 14 hits and nine runs.

Patriots pitchers kept PV batters off balance both games, surrendering just eight combined hits in 16 innings against Prairie View A&M. The Panthers were held to two hits in Game 1, but in Game 2 they got production in the form of Brad Benes who went 2-for-2 as the Panthers tallied six hits.

The Panthers (18-13, 9-2 SWAC) have lost three consecutive games, each of them have been non-conference matches. They will try to bounce back with a win beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday in the final contest of the three-game series against Dallas Baptist (20-12).
