The 2012 Prairie View A&M Panther football season is less than two months away as head coach Heishma Northern and student-athletes Brian Medlock and Krys Watkins represent the university at the SWAC's annual Football Media Day In Birmingham, Ala. on Monday.  The event begins at 9 a.m. and will be streamed live on SWAC-TV.

The 2012 Panther football preview/prospectus is now available to view and download via PVPanthers.com.  The prospectus contains a tentative roster, depth chart and an in-depth season preview of the 2012 Panthers.

Led by second-year head coach Heishma Northern, the Panthers fell one game short of reaching the SWAC Championship last year and return to the gridiron in the fall looking to finish what they started.  

Preseason camp begins on Aug. 5 with the season opener set to take place versus versus TSU in the Labor Day Classic.  The 28th annual Labor Day Classic, which is sponsored by State Farm Insurance and powered by the United States Marine Corps, will be played on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in Houston's Reliant Stadium.  For more information, log on to http://labordayclassic.wordpress.com or call (936) 261-9100.
