Espinosa Named to Molten Invitational Team After PV Loses 3 Tourney Games

FORT WORTH -The Prairie View A&M volleyball team left the Molten Invitational in Fort Worth without a win, as the Lady Panthers dropped nine consecutive sets in the Tournament. 

Following a 3-0 loss to Lehigh Friday afternoon, the Lady Panthers lost 3-0 to its Big 12 opponent and Tournament host Texas Christian in their 1 p.m. match. They followed it up with a 3-0 loss to No. 3 ranked  USC in their 4:30 p.m. match.

Junior setter Kelsey Espinosa made the Molten Invitational All-Tournament team. She had 28 assists in her team's 3-0 loss to Lehigh and 16 assists in the Lady Panthers' 3-0 loss to TCU. She finished the tournament with 61 assists after dishing out 17 against USC.

The Lady Panthers look to bounce back from their rough weekend by picking up a win against Huston-Tillotson at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Austin. Then they host Grambling State at 7 p.m. on Thursday in their Southwestern Athletic Conference opener in the Williams Nicks Building.
