HOUSTON-The Prairie View A&M women's volleyball team played two five-set matches Saturday, capping it off with a 3-2 win over Texas Southern in the Texas Southern Volleyball Invitational to improve to 2-5.
The Lady Panthers finished the tournament with a 2-1 record, with their only loss coming against New Orleans in the 11 a.m. game on Saturday. Sophomore libero

Bruna Menezes were selected to the all-tournament team for their three-game performances and overall contribution to Prairie View A&M's wins.
Faison, who was named the tournament's most outstanding libero had 45 digs in her final two matches of the tournament. She had 19 digs and six assists against TSU. Junior setter
Kelsey Espinosa had 37 assists and seven digs in the win, and Menezes tallied 13 kills against her team's rival squad.
Espinosa's 43 assists in the Lady Panthers' 3-2 loss to UNO was a career-high, and Menezes' 17 kills against UNO was a season-high.
Prairie View A&M will look for a chance to exact revenge against Houston Baptist at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies defeated Prairie View 3-0 on August 28 in Houston, limiting the Lady Panthers to a .000 attack percentage.
