The Lady Panthers dropped their third match of the season to Texas Southern in a 3-0 loss on Wednesday night at HP&E arena to fall to 4-4 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference West Division.

Senior outside hitter Candyce Alexander tallied 12 kills, six digs and two total blocks in Prairie View A&M's regular season finale as the Lady Panthers went down 25-22, 25-21, 25-11 on the road in Houston. Freshman right side Lenicia Tyson also provided a spark with eight kills and four digs in front of a crowd of 841. 

Senior setters Kelsey Espinosa and Monecia Preston combined for 21 assists, and Prairie View A&M kept its spot at fourth place in the SWAC West. It is the first time since the 2010 season that Prairie View A&M has not clinched one of the Top 2 seeds in the SWAC Tournament after winning the regular season Western Division Championship.
