The Lady Panthers could not find a winning formula in Denton and dropped four-consecutive matches in the North Texas Volleyball Invitational to fall to 1-7 on the season.
Prairie View A&M started the tournament off on friday with a highly-competitive 25 -21, 25-22, 25-15 loss to North Texas. Following that defeat, the Lady Panthers failed to score over 19 points in a set for the remainder of a tournament. The Lady Panthers suffered 3-0 losses to Northwestern State, Texas State and Utah before bowing out of the tournament.
Junior Middle blocker Magda Zietek was again the statistical leader for the Lady Panthers. For the tournament Zietek led her team with 29 kills (2.42 kills per game). She was also the team leader with 17 total blocks and three service aces. She represented the Prairie View A&M on the North Texas Invitational All-Tournament Team.Â
Prairie View A&M is on a seven-match losing streak since it defeated Southern in the season-opener on Aug. 30. The Lady Panthers will try to get back on the winning side of things and exact revenge against Houston Baptist at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the William Nicks Building "The Babydome." The Lady Panthers fell victim to HBU in a 3-0 loss in Houston on Sept. 2.
