Four-time defending Southwestern Athletic Conference champion Prairie View A&M concludes its two-game road trip Monday with a visit to Arkansas–Pine Bluff. The Lady Panthers are seeking their fifth consecutive victory after defeating Mississippi Valley State 78-61 on Saturday.

The Lady Panthers (7-11, 4-2 SWAC) are led by Shamiya Brooks and preseason All-SWAC First Team selection Jeanette Jackson. Jackson, a senior guard out of Las Vegas, Nev. (Sierra Vista HS) leads the SWAC with a scoring average of 17.3 points per game. She ranks second in the league with 3.8 assists per contest.

Brooks (West Point, Ga. / Troupe HS), this week's SWAC Player of the Week, has posted double-doubles in each of Prairie View A&M's last four games. The junior averages 7.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

The Lady Golden Lions of Arkansas–Pine Bluff (4-13, 2-4 SWAC) are aiming to snap a three-game losing streak. They fell at home 74-45 to Texas Southern on Saturday. Three of the Lions' four wins this season have come at home at H.O. Clemmons Arena.

The Lady Panthers swept last season's series from Arkansas–Pine Bluff, and have won 17 of the previous 19 meetings between the two teams. The Lady Golden Lions' last victory over Prairie View A&M came at home Jan. 21, 2013, when they defeated the Lady Panthers 57-50.
