PRAIRIE VIEW – The Texas A&M–Corpus Christi men's tennis team got a spirited match from the Prairie View A&M Panthers but would go on to claim the dual match victory on Tuesday.

Prairie View A&M's Bruno Snyder opened flight two singles play with a first-set victory over Kevin Bettendroffer by a narrow 7-6 score. Snyder won the tiebreaker 7-4, but Bettendroffer would prevail in the match, taking sets two and three by scores of 6-1 and 6-2, respectively.

Bettendroffer also teamed with Paul Cook to defeat Snyder and Freddy Quintero 6-3 in flight two doubles action. The Panthers also got spirited play from Jon Dingle and James Jackson, Jr., who took Arthur Bedel and Mitchell Cook to 10 games before falling 6-4 in flight three.

The Panthers return to action Sunday when they host Texas–Permian Basin. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
