The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers open the final one-third of conference play this weekend with a homestand against Mississippi Valley State and Arkansas–Pine Bluff. Saturday's game between the Lady Panthers and Delta Devilettes of MVSU is set for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
Prairie View A&M (10-14, 7-5 SWAC) seeks a season sweep of the Devilettes for the second consecutive year. The Lady Panthers claimed defeated Mississippi Valley State 78-61 in Greenwood, Miss. on Jan. 24.

Shamiya Brooks and preseason All-SWAC First Team selection
Jeanette Jackson. A senior guard out of Las Vegas, Nev. (Sierra Vista HS), Jackson leads the SWAC with a scoring average of 17.7 points per game. She is second in the conference in assists, giving out 3.6 assists per contest.Â
Brooks (West Point, Ga. / Troupe HS), has posted double-doubles in seven of her last nine games. The junior averages 8.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. In conference play, Brooks is averaging a double of 10.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
Mississippi Valley State (3-21) enters the contest with a record of 1-12 in SWAC play. The Delta Devilettes have lost their past five games since defeating in-state rival Jackson State for their only conference win. MVSU has yet to win a road game this season.
