The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers aim for a season sweep of Arkansas–Pine Bluff today when they host the Lady Golden Lions for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

Prairie View A&M (11-14, 8-5 SWAC) seeks a season sweep of UAPB for the second consecutive year. The Lady Panthers claimed defeated the Lady Golden Lions 83-66 in Pine Bluff, Ark. on Jan. 26.

The Lady Panthers are led by Shamiya Brooks and preseason All-SWAC First Team selection Jeanette Jackson. A senior guard out of Las Vegas, Nev. (Sierra Vista HS), Jackson leads the SWAC with a scoring average of 17.2 points per game. She is second in the conference in assists, giving out 3.8 assists per contest. 

Brooks (West Point, Ga. / Troupe HS), has posted double-doubles in eight of her last nine games. The junior averages 8.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest. In conference play, Brooks is averaging a double of 10.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Arkansas–Pine Bluff (6-19) enters the contest with a record of 4-10 in SWAC play. The Lady Golden Lions have lost three of their past four games, and are coming off a 73-58 loss at Texas Southern. Arkansas–Pine Bluff is 1-14 in road games this season.
