SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers had a rough opening to the Delta Zeta Classic on Friday, falling to host Texas State and Southwestern Athletic Conference rival Texas Southern.
The Lady Panthers conclude play Saturday against Lamar. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Texas State 3, Prairie View A&M 0The Lady Panthers opened play against the Bobcats of Texas State, falling in straight sets to their hosts. Scores of the match were 25-10, 25-14, and 25-5.

Jordan Kohl knocked down nine kills on 10 attempts for an astounding .900 hitting percentage to lead the Bobcats (2-3). Kelsey Weynand recorded eight digs for Texas State.

Randi Hunter knocked down three kills apiece for the Lady Panthers (0-6).
Ana Kiso handed out 10 assists for Prairie View A&M. She also led the Lady Panthers' defensive effort with three digs.

Audriana Carson led TSU with nine kills and nine digs. The Tigers picked up their first win of the season.
Mariah Thomas led the Prairie View A&M attack with six kills.
Ana Kiso posted a double-double, handing out 14 assists and 11 digs.
