The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers put their two-game winning streak on the line when they conclude their homestand Monday with a game against the Delta Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State.

The Lady Panthers (7-8, 3-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference) defeated Arkansas–Pine Bluff 70-55, running their win streak over the Golden Lions to six consecutive games. LaNikki McMillian scored a career-high 15 points to lead the Lady Panthers; McMillian shot 6-of-6 from the field including a pair of 3-pointers. Lamaria Cole also scored for 15 points in the win over Arkansas–Pine Bluff, while Monique Abbs chipped in 14 points. Prairie View A&M trailed by 11 points midway through the second quarter, but used a 14-0 run to reclaim a lead it would not relinquish.

Cole leads the Lady Panthers with a scoring average of 15.8 points per game. Her 4.2 assists per game and 3.3 steals per game leads the SWAC in both categories. Senior forward Larissa Scott contributes 10.9 points and a conference-leading average 11.1 rebounds per game. Alexus Parker averages 10.4 points per contest, having pushed her scoring average into double-digits after a 19-point sowing last Monday at Jackson State.

The Lady Panthers have two players ranked in the top 20 nationally in four statistical categories. Scott leads the nation with 5.6 offensive rebounds per game, and ranks 14th in overall rebounding. She also ranks 16th in the NCAA's Division I rankings with 37.0 minutes played per contest. Cole's 3.3 steals per game ranks seventh in the nation.

Mississippi Valley State leads the all-time series with Prairie View A&M 46-25 dating back to the start of the NCAA's women's basketball era beginning with the 1981-82 season. PVAMU has won five consecutive games and seven of the last 10 between the two teams. The Delta Devilettes swept the 2012-13 regular season, but the Lady Panthers had the last laugh, winning the SWAC championship 100-87 in four overtimes. Prairie View A&M have swept the series from MVSU the last two seasons.

The Delta Devilettes (3-13, 1-5 SWAC) enter Monday's looking to snap a five-game losing streak after opening SWAC play with a 62-60 win over Arkansas–Pine Bluff. They lost 76-38 at Texas Southern on Saturday.

Mississippi Valley State is led junior Christina Reed, who averages 16.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Junior Ashley Beals averages 15.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game for the Delta Devilettes.
