The Prairie View A&M University women's basketball team has hit the road for the final non-conference game of the 2016 season at Texas A&M.
The contest is set to tip at 1 p.m., Wednesday and will appear on SEC Network + or fans can listen to the game live on OpenMic Broadcast Network or get live stats on
pvpanthers.com.
Prairie View A&M enters Wednesday contest 5-6 and was defeated by Stephen F. Austin last Tuesday 88-64.
Alexus Parker led the team with 19 points and leads the team in scoring averaging 15.1 ppg.
Tori Carter had 18 points, while
La'Sha Haynes added 10. Haynes also leads the team in rebounding averaging 8.0 per game.
"We played hard last week," PVAMU women's basketball coach
Ravon Justice said. "However, we just need to make sure that we take care of the ball and continue to play our game at all times. We will take each game one at a time and go from there. This will be a big game for us, but we just have to do what we need to do. Texas A&M is coached very well and plays an up temple game so we are going to have to match up with them where we can."
Texas A&M is currently 9-3 and will look to continue their win streak after defeating Syracuse 105-84. Danni Williams led the Aggies in scoring 30 points in the win. Williams leads the offense, averaging 18.3 ppg. Teammate Khaalia Hillsman is averaging 16.9 points per game. Anniel Howard leads the team on the boards averaging 11.8 rebounds per game.
