PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas. – The Prairie View A&M University men's tennis team hosted St. Edwards Saturday morning falling 6-1, while the women's team competed in two matches falling to Northeastern State 4-2, and Stephen F. Austin 5-2 Saturday at the SFA Tennis Courts.
In the men's matchup PVAMU's number two team won their match 6-3, with the team of
Ulrick Boyogueno and
Xavier Lawrence over Will Drumwright and Logan Buignet.
In the ladies action in their first match of the day against Northeastern the Lady Panthers number four
Shaddae Findley posted a 6-0 and 6-4 win over Easton Parker of NSU. Teammate
Tatiana Ruhl at the number six also collected a win in the single match winning 6-1, 2-6 and forcing a third game to win 6-3.
In their afternoon matchup against host team Stephen F. Austin
Neharika Rama of PVAMU won her game at the one with the scores of 6-3, 1-6 and playing a third set winning it 11-9.
Maria Lackey of Prairie View also won her match at the six spot winning in two sets with the scores of 6-1 and 6-0
Both teams will return to the courts on February 10, when they play host to Texas –Permian Basin. The matches are set to begin at 9 a.m, at the PVAMU Tennis Courts.
