Lady Panthers Softball Falls to Sam Houston State in Doubleheader Action

HUNTSVILLE, Texas -The Prairie View A&M University softball team dropped a pair of games to Sam Houston State Wednesday afternoon at the Bearkat Softball Complex.
 
Game 1 - Sam Houston State 9, PVAMU 0: A pair of Lady Panthers recorded hits for PVAMU in the opener.  Second baseman Destinee Williams went 2-for-3, and center fielder Shelby Williams went 1-for-3.
 
Game 2  - Sam Houston State 11, PVAMU 0: In the second game for the Lady Panthers, Laurisa Hernandez was 1-for-1 at the plate and Kiara Ross was 1-for-2.
 
The Lady Panthers will return to the diamond in the Texas A&M Tournament starting Friday in College Station, Texas.  PVAMU will face Georgetown at 10 a.m. and Texas San Antonio at 12:15 p.m.
