LAFAYETTE, La. — Prairie View A&M University tennis teams dropped their matches both to the University of Louisiana Lafayette and Southern Miss over the weekend in Lafayette, Louisiana at the Cajun Courts.
The women's team fell 4-0 to ULL on Saturday. The team of Sydney Thomas and Tatiana Ruhl were able to pick up their set in doubles at the No. 2 position with the score of 6-3 over the Rajun' Cajuns team of Kelly Drew and Carla Ortega.
The Panthers team fell to Southern Miss on Saturday 4-0, before facing ULL in double header action on Sunday falling 4-0 in both matches. The teams only played singles in both contest.
PVAMU will return to the courts on Saturday April 8, when they face Seminole State College in Dallas, Texas at 1 p.m. This will be a final tune-up for the men's team prior to the SWAC Tournament as they will conclude their regular season schedule.
