PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — The Prairie View A&M University softball team fell to Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in doubleheader action to end the regular season 15-0 in game one and 9-7 in game two.Â

The Islanders struck first in the top of the first taking an 4-0 lead before the Lady Panthers struck back to tack on four runs in the bottom of the first. Â

The only senior on the team for the Lady Panthers Briana Knowles singled up the middle to lead off the bottom of the first, stealing second, before Destinee Williams singled to right center pushing Knowles across home plate getting the first run. Laurisa Hernandez hit a two-run homer over the center field fence adding two more runs to the Lady Panthers' score. Ward-Flowers came right behind Hernandez and also hit a solo homer to add a fourth run of the inning.

TAMCC added another run in the top of the second, the Lady Panthers tacked on a fifth run to tie the game in the third on another Ward-Flowers homer.Â

After Knowles walked to open the bottom of the fourth, D. Williams hit a two run homer, the third of the game, to take a 7-5 advantage over the Islanders.
