PVAMU Sports Hall Of Famer Clarence Williams Dies

Former Prairie View A&M football standout, PVAMU Sports Hall of Famer and former NFL player Clarence Williams passed away earlier this week at the age of 70.
 
The Panther legend played on The Hill from 1965-69 before being selected in the 11th round of the NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. After spending one year on the taxi squad while returning to Prairie View in the offseason to complete his degree. Williams was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1970. He played eight seasons, including leading the team in sacks in the division title winning season of 1972.
 
Williams was laid to rest Saturday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
 
The Panther family extends its condolences to his wife and PVAMU graduate Icy (Eatmon), his children and family.
