PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M women's and men's tennis teams will host its first home dual match of the season on Wednesday, at the PVAMU Tennis Courts starting at 11 a.m.
"I am really excited to host our dual match here at home at Prairie View," said head PVAMU tennis coach Duane Williams. "Luckily it worked out for both teams to be able to compete tomorrow. We have some new faces on the team and I feel like that we have been working hard. I think that they are definitely excited to play here at home in front of our fans."
The Lady Panthers has already played two matches, falling to both to 19-ranked Texas A&M (6-0) and to Sam Houston State (6-1).
Wednesday match is a rescheduled match for the men's team, they will be playing a doubleheader with the Islanders. The Panthers has also already played in two matches, falling to both Rice (6-1) and Oral Roberts (4-1).
"Looking at tomorrow, Corpus Christi is always a tough team," said Williams. "I am happy with the play so far, but there are always things that we can improve on, so I think that we should have a good showing tomorrow."
