BOX SCORE HOUSTON – After a pair of decisive sets from both teams, Prairie View A&M volleyball team played some competitive sets that went right down to the wire, but found themselves falling to Texas Southern 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 14-25, 23-25).
"Another night where defense and setting showed up and no offense," said PVAMU head volleyball coach
TaCho Tyler. "We just have to stay consistent. We can't be on one minute and off the next. We have got to play an all-around game."
Victoria Pearson led the Prairie View A&M offense with 16 kills, while junior Cetara Carter tallied 11 kills. Jaylon Thomas added seven kills, a service ace and eight digs, while senior
Christen Augustine recorded a team-high 25 digs.
The Lady Panthers will travel to Arkansas Pine Bluff, when they face the Golden Lions of UAPB for a 6:30 matchup on Monday, Oct. 8.
