Women's Basketball Falls to Iowa State

BOX SCORE AMES, Iowa – The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team fell to Iowa State University 94-46, Wednesday evening.
 
The Lady Panthers struggled throughout the first half, only scoring ten points as they went into halftime trailing 50-10. Senior center Artavia Ford led the team with six points going into the half.
 
Things began to pick up for PVAMU in the third quarter as they scored 19 of the 45 posted points. They went on a late 8-0 with 2:38 left in the period, but eventually went into the fourth down 76-29.
 
PVAMU continued to pick up their play in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell 94-46 in the closing minutes of the game.
 
Ford led the team with a season high 22 points, seven rebounds and one steal. Senior guard Chelsea Tieuel followed behind with eight points and one rebound.
 
The team returns to action on Friday, Dec. 21 as they travel to College Station, Texas to face #23 ranked Texas A&M University at 6:30 P.M.
