Women's Tennis Splits; Men's Team Drop Weekend Matches

BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 4 LAFAYETTE, La. – The Prairie View A&M women's team split a pair of matches claiming a win against Louisiana State University Alexandria 4-3 and falling 7-0 to host team Louisiana Lafayette, while the men's team dropped both their matches to LLU 7-0, 6-0.
 
The Lady Panthers opened the weekend winning a 9-7 set in the doubles match against LSUA at the No. 3 as the duo of Stacey Lackey and Jimena Duran-Castellanos took the win over Patricia Perez Diaz and Miljana Milojevic.
 
Neharika Rama did her best to keep the momentum going into the single play, winning her sets, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 over Milajevic.  At No. 4 Constanza Aranguiz swept to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Ariandra Cabezasto tie the match, and at the No. 5 Shaddae Findley posted a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 win over Diaz in a three game set to put the Lady Panthers ahead 4-3.

Jessica Lackey rounded out the final point for the Lady Panthers at the No. 6 and 7 to win the match.  Lackey battled outlasted Claudia Van Den Brink at the No. 6, 7-6, 7-5.
