PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced the 2017-18 All-Academic Teams as a total of 147 Prairie View A&M University student-athletes were recognized.
 
In order to qualify for the team, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
 
Panther student-athletes continue to have classroom success as 11 teams had at least a 2.80 GPA during the recently completed spring term. Student-athletes from all 18 sports earned All-Academic honors and are listed below.

"We continue to be proud of the academic achievements of our student-athletes," said Brittney Johnson, PVAMU's Associate Athletic Director of Student Athlete Support Services. "The number of athletes recognized by the SWAC increased by nearly 20 percent over the previous year. We say it often, but it really is a team effort with our athletes, University Administration, coaches and staff working together for their ultimate academic success."
