PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M volleyball team will return to play Tuesday facing Houston Baptist in a rematch at 6:30 p.m. at the PVAMU Recreation Center.

"I feel like we will play Houston Baptist a lot better than we did a couple of weeks ago," said head PVAMU volleyball coach TaCho Tyler.  "The last time we played HBU we came out really strong, but faltered in the second set, but then we finished kind of strong as well.  Now that we have a couple of games under belt, we should mess better this time."

Transfer junior Jaylan Thomas' consistent play leads the Lady Panthers on the offensive attack.  In last week's four set match up against Huston-Tillotson, Thomas had a 20 kill performance and three services aces.  She is currently averaging 3.12 kills per set with 50 kills total this season.

Fellow teammate Cetara Carter had a 10-kill season high performance against Huston Tillotson.  Junior setter Erica Jimenez also posted a season high of 18 assists to add to the game.  She is currently averaging .258 assists per set, as she is leading the team with 57 assist on the season.  Freshman Joycelyn Nunez also had a season high in the assist column posting 24 assist.  She has 52 assists on the season and is averaging .329 per set.

Senior libero Christen Augustine is still leading PVAMU's defense.  Augustine recorded a season high of 26 digs in the match against Huston Tillotson and has 68 digs on the season.
