PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M University volleyball team will look to turn its fortunes around as they head to New Orleans Friday, for the two-day UNO Invitational.
"The teams that we are playing this weekend are very much similar to the teams that we have already played this season," head PVAMU volleyball coach
TaCho Tyler said. "Our passing and setting will have to stay consistent and hopefully our hitters will rise to the occasion. We will need everyone to step up so that we can win some matches."
The Lady Panthers take on a pair of opponents Friday, opening up against Morgan State at 11:30 a.m. and playing host team later in the evening a 7 p.m., before wrapping up the weekend Saturday against Bethune-Cookman at 3 p.m.
PVAMU enters the weekend winless in six matches thus far on the season.
Jaylan Thomas continues to lead the Lady Panthers in kills with 63, while
Erica Jimenez has dished out a team-high 80 assists.
"We're looking to see more progression out of our players this weekend," Tyler said. "Hopefully we will be more prepared than we have been all season."
