DALLAS, Texas – The Prairie View A&M bowling team ended their final day of the SWAC West Roundup with a second place finish after going 2-2 on Sunday at the Watauga Lanes.
The team stands behind SWAC regular season title Alabama State (11-1), finishing the first of the two roundups 9-3.
PVAMU dropped their first match of the day 891-859 to Alabama State. They then defeated Southern 969-954.
The team lost their third match to Jackson State 975-869, but were able to end the tournament with a 844-680 win over Grambling State.
Senior
Alexes Burton managed to stay on top of all individual standings throughout the tournament and finished with a 2,872 total pin count. She averaged 205.14 pins per game.
Freshman
Crystal Cline also kept her place on top of all freshman individual standings and ended with a 2,774 total pin count. She averaged 198.14 pins per game, and finished fourth in overall individual standings.
The Lady Panthers will return to the lanes on Friday, Feb. 1 as they host the Prairie View A&M Invitational at the ITRC.
