PRAIRIE VIEW - The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team returns to action in the consolation round of the Preseason WNIT versus Miami (OH) tomorrow afternoon.

On the heels of a tough loss versus Oklahoma to open the first round of the Preseason WNIT, the Panthers (1-1) look to rebound against a RedHawks squad that also suffered a loss in the opening round.

Point guard Tatyana Perez was the bright spot for the Panthers against the Sooners, scoring 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting.  Senior Bernesha Peters added seven points, and freshman Diana Rosenthal scored six points.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the teams. It also marks the Panthers' first game against an Ohio-based team since the 2012-13 season (Toledo).

The contest will take place in Mobile, Ala. on the campus of the University of South Alabama. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. The game is a part of a four-team pod also involving host South Alabama and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The PVAMU/Miami winner will face the winner of the South Alabama/Corpus Christi game on Friday, with the losers of each game squaring off against each other.

Start times for the Friday games are 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively, with host South Alabama assured to play at 7 p.m. regardless of the outcome for Thursday's games.
