11/19/2019 2:16:00 PM

PRAIRIE VIEW - Prairie View A&M women's basketball returns to the court Wednesday, Nov. 20 in non-conference action at Arizona. Tip-off is set for noon (11 a.m. local time) from the McKale Center.

The Panthers (1-3) will attempt to halt a three-game losing skid in hopes of rebounding from a setback against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi during the consolation round of the Preseason WNIT.

Senior Bernesha Peters is off to a strong start for the Panthers this year, having scored in double figures in three of four games this year while averaging 17.5 points and 3.0 steals per game over her past couple of outings. Peters, who leads the team in scoring at 13.0 points per game, scored 17 points and pilfered five steals in the team's recent defeat versus the Islanders.

Graduate transfer Tatyana Perez has been solid as well, averaging 11.0 points per game and shooting 47 percent from beyond the arc. Freshman Diana Rosenthal has flashed as a potent offensive weapon, averaging 7.5 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from three-point range.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the teams.

Sophomore Cate Reese has been the No. 2 option for Arizona, averaging 13.3 points and a team-best seven boards per game.
