PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M football team will return to action Thursday night in a pivotal SWAC contest against the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff for a 6:30 kick from Panther Stadium.
The contest will be streamed live on ESPNU.
PVAMU is coming off of a big win over Grambling State which wrapped up its SWAC Western Division record at 2-0 and 3-1 overall.
Currently, the Panthers are a game ahead of both Alcorn State, which defeated UAPB last Thursday 39-38, and Southern in the SWAC standing and control their own destiny as winning out ensures a SWAC Championship game berth.
The Panthers will be led in the air by graduate-student Juwan Pass who is averaging 274.8 yards per game. Pass leads the SWAC in total passing yards with 1,099. Graduate-student
Lyndemian Brooks leads the Panthers in rushing averaging 42.0 yards per contest. Senior
Jailon Howard is the SWAC's top 10 leading receiver averaging 70.3 yards a game.

Drake Cheatum has a total of 26 tackles (12 solo,14 assisted) averaging 6.5 tackles per game.
Scouting UAPB
- Arkansas Pine Bluff is in search of their first win. This contest is a back-to-back Thursday night game for UAPB.
- In a hotly contested game last Thursday night in Pine Bluff, Ark. the Golden Lions dropped a 39-38 match-up to Alcorn State.
- Skyler Perry leads the Golden Lions in passing averaging 226.0 per game. Kier Crossley leads the run game averaging 59.3 yards per game. Dejuan Miller is the top receiver for UAPB averaging 11.7 catches.
- Defensively Kenan Fontenot had 13 total tackles (11 solo, 2 assisted).
