PRAIRIE VIEW –The Prairie View A&M University 2023 Southwestern Athletic Conference Champions will get their 2023-24 season on the way when they travel to Harahan, La., for the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane at Colonial Lanes.
 
The Lady Panthers will return four members from the championship team and have added three to this year's roster.  2023 Freshman of the Year Jayda Gordon (Germantown, MD) will return for her sophomore season after leading PVAMU to the bowling team's sixth championship.
 
Sophomore Miranda Fuente (Houston, Texas) will also return for her second season on the Lady Panthers roster, while junior Amani Moore (Fort Worth, Texas) and senior Ashlyn Okazaki (Honolulu, Hawaii) have also returned to this year's squad.  PVAMU has added a junior transfer from Coppin State Jalyne Myers (New Braunsfels, Texas), and two freshmen Skylar Alexander (New Orleans, La.) and Caroline Lewis (Kenosha Wis.).
 
Coach Glenn White enters his 19^th season at the helm of the Lady Panthers bowling team.  Since his stint at PVAMU, he has won six championships (2012, 2013, 2015, 2019, 2021, and 2023) as well as five regular season titles (2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022).
 
The Lady Panthers finished the Colonial Lanes Classic in 11^th place (8,936) last season and will look to advance to a higher spot this year.  PVAMU will open the match with a 9:45 a.m. start against Sam Houston State.
