HARAHAN, La. – The Prairie View A&M University championship bowling team completed the opening weekend of the 2023 season finishing 5-8 overall.
"This was a tough weekend," said Head PVAMU Bowling Coach
Glenn White. "I'm proud of the team and how they battled through some adverse conditions. The freshmen had to step up sooner than planned and they fought through it. We didn't finish high in the bracket but winning five matches was a good beginning. We have a lot of work to do and a lot of season left "
The Lady Panthers were led by sophomore
Jayda Gordon who tallied a 908 pin-fall averaging 181.6. PVAMU finished the weekend with wins against Jackson (806-755) on Saturday and (1,138-1048) on Sunday.
The team will return to action on November 3 at the Track Klash in Houston, Texas.
