HUNTSVILLE, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers struggled on Wednesday, falling to the Sam Houston Bearkats by a final score of 9-1.
Junior Jerrica Rojas (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Prairie View A&M (1-11).
At the plate, the Lady Panthers were led by sophomore Hannah Garza, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Junior Karina Cisneros put together a standout performance at the dish as well, going 1-for-2 with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Panthers were trailing 8-0 in the fifth inning when they first put runs on the board. Prairie View A&M got on the board thanks to Garza's RBI double with two outs. The ballgame ended with that fifth-inning rally falling short.
