PRAIRIE VIEW, TEXAS - Head Bowling Coach
Glenn White adds another piece to the 2023-24 bowling team in search of a second-straight conference championship and seventh overall title with the addition of transfer Jalyne Myers.
Myers, a native of New Braunfels, Texas will be bringing her talents to the Lady Panthers squad as a transfer from Coppin State University this coming fall and should be a difference maker on the lanes for the 2023 defending Southwestern Athletic Conference Champions.
"I am very pleased that Jalyne has decided to bring her talents to Prairie View A&M University," said White. "I believe her previous collegiate experience will be very beneficial in helping a fairly young team continue to stay competitive and compete at a championship level."
During her sophomore year at Coppin State Myers
averaged a 166.19 over 21 games for 3,490 total pins in traditional matches.
As a freshman Myers tallied over 6,304 pins in 38 matches, averaging a 165.89 for the season… Rolled at least a 200 in two matches, with a high of 244 against Maryland Eastern Shore which tied for the highest score of any Eagles player on the season. She had another nine matches with at least 180 pinfall games.
A three-time MVP out of high school, Myers was also Canyon's High School bowling teams captain for two years. Myers is set to join the team this fall.
