After a decade of service to the Prairie View A&M University student-athletes Mary Ellen Hole resigned to pursue other opportunities as the Associate Athletic Trainer with Men's Basketball at Northern Illinois University after playing a significant role for the Panthers Sports Medicine department.
 
Hole, a veteran AT, joined the PVAMU staff in 2013 with her first season working with volleyball, m/w tennis, and m/w cross country/track & field teams. During 2014-16 Hole worked with the women's soccer program along with the m/w cross country/track & field teams.  She moved away from the other sports concentrating on just m/w cross country/track & field teams from 2016-2023.  In her final seasons with PV Hole added men's basketball (2021-2023 to her already six sports.
 
Over her tenure with the Panthers m/w cross country/track & field teams, she was a part of nine winning campaigns, including the 2014 Men's Cross Country, 2018, 2021, & 2022 Men's Outdoor Track & Field, 2022 Men's Indoor Track & Field, 2021- & 2022-Women's Indoor Track & Field, 2022- & 2023-Women's Outdoor Track &Field championships.
 
Hole also participated with the teams during NCAA Post-Season Appearances including; the 2014 Women's Soccer - NCAA Regionals, 2014, 2016, 2021, & 2022 Men's Cross Country - NCAA Regionals, Numerous (too many to count individually) Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field NCAA Regionals appearances over the course of 10 years, 2015 Men's Outdoor Track & Field NCAA Championships, 2017 Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field NCAA Championships, 2020 Women's Indoor Track & Field NCAA Championships, 2021 Women's Outdoor Track & Field NCAA Championships, 2022 Men's Outdoor Track &Field NCAA Championships.
 
Outside of her responsibilities of taking care of the student-athletes, she coordinated & supervised undergraduate athletic training student-aid program for 10 years.
 
Mary Ellen will truly be missed not only by the student-athletes, and the student-aides but the Panther staff.   Congratulations and good luck.
