Prairie View, TX — The Prairie View A&M Panthers are gearing up for an anticipated volleyball encounter with the Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions on Friday, November 15, 2024. The Panthers, aiming to capitalize on their current SWAC record of 11-3, will host the Lions at their home court, where they have a solid record advantage in recent years.

Head Coach Cheri Lindsay will lead the Panthers, who currently hold an overall season record of 14-15. "This game is crucial for maintaining our leading position in the SWAC, and I'm confident in our team's abilities," said Lindsay. The Panthers will rely heavily on standout players such as Kylee Owens, an explosive outside hitter, Leila Smalls with her adept libero skills, setter Leah Lawson, and the robust middle blocker Janyah Henderson.

Arkansas Pine Bluff trails significantly in the season with a record of 4-24, grappling in SWAC matchups with a 2-12 record. Despite there, key players like Zykia Jones and MacKenzie McDowell could pose challenges for the Panthers. Prairie View holds a comfortable historical advantage over Arkansas Pine Bluff, winning 20 out of 32 games since 2010, including a sweeping 3-0 victory in their last matchup.

As the Prairie View A&M Panthers prepare to extend their dominance over the Golden Lions, fans and supporters are encouraged to fill the stands and rally behind the home team in what promises to be an intense volleyball event for Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night.
