PRAIRIE VIEW - In an exciting announcement for Prairie View A&M volleyball, outside hitter Kylee Owens has been named to the 2024 AVCA DI All-Americans Honorable Mention team. This recognition places her among an elite group of 54 athletes nationwide acknowledged for their exceptional contributions to collegiate volleyball this season.

Owens, originally from Culver City, Calif., has been a standout performer for the Lady Panthers, demonstrating her prowess on the court consistently throughout her career. As an outside hitter, Owens has amassed impressive statistics this season, boasting 355 kills, 47 aces, and 318 digs. Her remarkable performance also includes surpassing the 1000 career kills milestone, a testament to her skill and dedication.

Owens' contributions have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by her accumulation of accolades over the current season. She earned the SWAC Volleyball Player of the Year title and was selected for the All-SWAC First Team. Additionally, her AVCA All-Region selection as an Honorable Mention from the Southwest Region earlier in the year highlighted her impact and leadership within the team.

This latest honor from AVCA as a member of the 2024 DI All-Americans Honorable Mention list cements Owens' reputation as a prominent player in the collegiate volleyball scene, not only at Prairie View A&M but across the nation. The Lady Panthers and their supporters are undoubtedly proud of her achievements and look forward to her continued success in future competitions.
