DAYTONA BEACH, FL --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team lost to the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 16-25) Sunday on the road at Richard V Moore Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Prairie View A&M's record to 10-11 overall and 7-1 in SWAC action.
The Lady Panthers attack was paced by Kylee Owens, who finished with 19 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .333, and by D'Mya Hill, who had 14. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Leila Smalls had 19 and Tayler Ruffin had 11.

SET 2 | Prairie View A&M tied the match at 1-1 with a 25-22 second-set win. The Lady Panthers grabbed the advantage for good at 17-16 in a set that showcased three lead changes before the Lady Panthers took over in the second half of the stanza. Prairie View A&M's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking five Bethune-Cookman attacks in the stanza and capitalizing on 11 Bethune-Cookman attacking errors on the way to victory.
SET 3 | Bethune-Cookman went up 2-1 after defeating the Lady Panthers in set three. The Lady Panthers fell in a tough set 25-19. Prairie View A&M trailed by as many as six points as Bethune-Cookman grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that was tied up six times before the Lady Wildcats took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 4 | Prairie View A&M then dropped the fourth set 25-16 to finish off the match. The Lady Panthers trailed by as many as nine points as Bethune-Cookman grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 and Prairie View A&M wasn't able to recover in a set that was tied up just once before the Lady Wildcats took over.
