Panthers Complete Day 1 at Destination Orlando

The Prairie View A&M Panthers women's bowling team, had just completed day 1 at Destination Orlando in Orlando, Florida.  This was their first regular season event of the year, featuring five intense matches against formidable opponents.

In their opening match, the Panthers scored 753 against Emmanuel University's 791. The second match saw Prairie View A&M scoring 714 against Texas Southern, who managed a higher score of 913. However, the Panthers found their stride in the third match against Youngstown State, the reigning national champions ranked #4 in the NCAA. They achieved a notable victory with a score of 823 to Youngstown's 782. Individual scores in this match for PVAMU read 127, 189, 145, 195, and 167, while Youngstown scored 172, 178, 154, 161, and 117.

The fourth and fifth matches were challenging, with the Panthers scoring 738 against Mount St. Mary's 947 and 850 against Arkansas State's 985, respectively.

This tournament marks a significant test for the Panthers as they navigate the season's start, eyeing improvement and strategizing for the upcoming matches. The tournament will continue on October 25, 2025, offering the Panthers another opportunity to showcase their skills and adjust their strategy based on the insights gained from the first day.
