In a striking display at the LA Tech Bulldog Classic, the Prairie View A&M women's bowling team showcased their skills, wrapping up the first day with mixed results. Competing in Fort Worth, Texas, on February 28, 2025, the Panthers faced stiff competition and ended the day with a winning record of 3-2 in the Baker matches format.
The Panthers opened strong with a convincing victory over Morgan State, scoring 942 to 812. However, they faced a setback in a narrow defeat by Jackson State with a score of 726 to 749. Bouncing back, the team clinched another win against Alabama State, outscoring them 911 to 886. Despite a tough match against Louisiana Tech, where they lost 907 to 795, the Panthers finished the day on a high note by defeating Oklahoma Christian 901 to 861.
With an impressive team average of 171.0 per game, the Panthers are poised to continue their quest at the LA Tech Bulldog Classic. The event resumes tomorrow, March 1 and Sunday, March 2, with 5 traditional matches against notable teams including Morgan State, Saint Anselm College, University of Central Missouri, Sam Houston State, and Tulane. Fans and supporters are looking forward to following the team's progress through the weekend at the same venue.
