ARLINGTON, Texas - Prairie View A&M's women's bowling team delivered a standout performance at the SWAC Championships on March 21, 2025. Demonstrating skill and tenacity, the Panthers won two crucial matches, setting them up for a continued championship pursuit at the International Training and Research Center (ITRC) in Arlington, Texas.
The Panthers' bowling team faced Alabama A&M in their first encounter of the championships, with victories both in the traditional and Baker formats. They secured the traditional game with a score of 938-904 and followed up with a win in the Baker format 884-857. Riding the momentum, the Panthers advanced to play against top-seeded Alabama State. They continued their winning streak, claiming victories in the traditional game 1016-890 and in the Baker game 947-770.
Thanks to these triumphs, the Prairie View A&M Panthers will advance to the third round of the competition, slated for tomorrow at 1:00 PM at the ITRC in Arlington. This three-day competition is just in its first stage, promising more action and potential achievements for the Panthers in the upcoming rounds on March 22 and 23.
