Men's Tennis Faced Tough Challenges Against Alabama A&M

MILLBROOK, Ala. -- In a challenging day of tennis, the Prairie View A&M Panthers, men's tennis team, struggled against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Millbrook, Ala. Despite the tough competition, the Panthers showcased moments of resilience although they ultimately succumbed to the Bulldogs in all completed singles and doubles matches.

The standout singles performances came from Devyn Gans at Pair 5, who tied with Goran Krivokapic in a closely contested battle, ending with scores of 6-2, 2-6, 0-9-5. Additionally, Eduardo Nunez Flores tied with Kai Cowcher at Pair 1, marking another highlight for Prairie View A&M. In doubles, the duo of Xavier Peter-Gooding and Abdulraheem Isa tied with Kai Cowcher and Tasso Moreira, showcasing their tenacity and teamwork.

Despite the losses across most matches, Prairie View A&M's Panthers displayed notable efforts, particularly in drawn matches, where individual players like Gans, Nunez Flores, Peter-Gooding, and Isa were acknowledged for their spirit and skill against formidable opponents.

Moving forward, the Panthers have a record of 2-21 overall, with a 2-4 mark in the SWAC. Their next contest is set for April 2, 2025, against UT Arlington in Arlington, Texas, an opportunity for the team to regroup and aim for a better outcome.
