TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team continues SWAC play on the road as the Lady Panthers travel to Tallahassee to take on Florida A&M on Thursday, Feb. 5, with tip off set for 6:30 p.m. (ET) at the Al Lawson Center.
Prairie View A&M enters the match up coming off a strong performance last week, highlighted by a balanced offensive attack and stifling defensive effort. Wilson recorded a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while the Lady Panthers limited their opponent to 35.7 percent shooting from the field.
The trio of Schultz, Shields, and Wilson powered the offense, accounting for 83 percent of Prairie View A&M's total points. Defensively, the Lady Panthers were just as effective, forcing 15 turnovers and controlling the tempo throughout the contest.
Schultz led the way with a game-high 21 points, showcasing her scoring ability, while Wilson pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds, anchoring the Lady Panthers on the glass.
Under first-year head coach
Tai Dillard, Prairie View A&M looks to carry that momentum into Thursday's road match up against the Rattlers as the Lady Panthers continue to build consistency in conference play.
