PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M Athletics has announced kickoff times for the Panthers' 2026 football season, highlighted by five home contests at Panther Stadium and several key Southwestern Athletic Conference matchups.

Under the leadership of second year head coach Tremaine Jackson, the Panthers will open the 2026 campaign on the road against Tarleton State.  The teams will clash for the first time in series history, on the third day of the college football season. They'll play in the only college football game broadcast on ESPN 2 on Saturday, Aug. 29, with kickoff set for 8 p.m., according to ESPN's release in announcing its slate of games Weeks 1-3. 

Prairie View's home opener and annual Labor Day Classic against Texas Southern is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. at Panther Stadium. The Panthers will then travel to Baylor on Sept. 12 before returning home to host Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.

The State Fair Classic against Grambling State will be played Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. in Dallas, while conference road contests at Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 3), East Texas A&M (Oct. 24), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 14), and Alabama State (Nov. 21) are all slated for afternoon or evening kickoffs.

Home SWAC contests against Southern (Oct. 10), Alcorn State (Oct. 17), and Alabama A&M (Nov. 7) will each begin at 2 p.m.

The Panthers enter the 2026 season looking to build upon last year's successful campaign and continue their pursuit of another SWAC championship.
